To say that the past couple weeks with Jessie here has been crazy would be an understatement. Don’t get me wrong. I love having her here. She is my best friend and all. The girl just never sets down and breathes.
She has been non stop since she got here. She has checked out San Myshuno from top to bottom. She has met a lot of new people around the city. Several of them she has brought back to the apartment for me to meet also.
I really am not surprised that they are all men. Jessie always has attracted them more than she ever did women. What did surprise me was her bringing Eric to visit.
You see, there’s history between me and Eric. A history that did not end well. We had dated during high school then suddenly he disappeared with no word. It really broke my heart. I had thought that he was the one I was going to be with forever. For a lovesick teenage girl to find out otherwise, it is a crushing blow.
Eric and I talked though. I learned that he hadn’t exactly disappeared, but had just relocated. There were things that he couldn’t tell anybody else so he had to more or less hide himself from everybody he cared about. Now that all of that is over and done with, he is free to be himself again.
I do have to admit that it is nice to have him around again. By around, I mean he never leaves. That is fine with me. I gave him his own key to the apartment.
He gave me something in return. A ring!
