Ch 29: Wonderful News! (Jackson Day)

My sister-in-law gave me some of the best news anybody could have ever given me today. She is going to be a surrogate. She said that it was my start in life that encouraged her to do this.

When Jessie came to the house saying she needed to talk to us, we weren’t sure what to expect. We figured she was just going to tell us that she was moving out or was pregnant or something.

I guess in a way, we weren’t too far off the mark. She is moving in with the family she is going to be a surrogate for, and she is getting pregnant. So we were almost right.

She talked to Kristi about it first. I think she was afraid of how her sister would react and didn’t want a big family fight if it went bad.

There was no need to worry though. I know my wife, and this is something I know she would support.

I couldn’t have been happier when she told me the news.

We talked for quite awhile before she left. There was a lot of things that I wanted her to know about.

I did tell her to talk to my Aunt Brianna. Brianna would be able to tell her what to expect and help her deal with some of the emotions she may feel when it is time to hand the babies over to their fathers.

I know the situations aren’t exactly the same. I was born from both my father’s. Long story there. Let’s just say that Aunt Brianna is not my biological mother, my dad is. That’s another story. The emotions and all that technical stuff would still be the same though. Talking to Brianna would probably do Jessie some good.
