Being here has not been as bad as I thought it would be. I have plenty of time to myself which is great. Jacobo moved in with his girlfriend which left only Ember here for awhile. Since she started high school, she’s not even home very much. That is perfectly fine with me.
Salim has been talking about retiring. I think I have managed to talk him into working just a little longer. I have been enjoying the time at the apartment while he is at work and Ember is at school.
At first I just liked being alone. Now I have a new reason to like being home without them.
Lindsey fills my days and makes everything I have done and sacrificed worth it. I don’t even mind Salim being all lovey and touchy any more.
He gave me the one thing that I desired the most in this world. Well, almost. We won’t get into that now. I am in a better place now and almost happy.
I don’t think my life could get any better than it is right now.
